Contemporary Artisan Rugs explore how Morocco’s weaving heritage can evolve while remaining connected to the hands and knowledge of its artisans.
These pieces are created for today’s interiors, with thoughtful proportions, refined color palettes and contemporary compositions. Yet they remain rooted in traditional wool preparation, hand-knotting and weaving techniques.
Unlike highly standardized production, our approach does not seek perfect repetition. We believe the artisan should remain part of the creative process.
A general direction may be established — dimensions, colors or a visual idea — but subtle variations, irregularities and handmade details are welcomed rather than corrected. Because contemporary design does not have to erase the human hand.
